April - a good month for fundraising!!

Hi All,

April presented us with a couple of great opportunities for fundraising...

The Amazing Lara Banks ran the Brighton Marathon - in aid of Kemsing Scouts. As Lara said befor her feat:

'My son has been a member of Kemsing beavers and now cubs for quite some time. They do so much there for him & all the children - I wanted to show my appreciation and at the same time raise much needed funds for the new hut.
'This will be my second marathon - London being my first last April.... I entered Brighton BEFORE I ran London.... hindsight is a wonderful thing!'

We were also one of three charities of the month that benefited from the 'green discs' in Waitrose, and were very pleased to collect a cheque for £250! Thank you to everyone who supported us, and especially Waitrose
